Welcome to my new website!
I have transferred my website to Squarespace.com. This is not because WordPress was in any way limited or slow. I wanted to simplify the site and emphasize content so that images and blogs were more easily accessible and organized around projects. I could have done this in WP but I happen to have a web guru in my son Dan and he felt SS offered an easier and more modern platform; I guess the younger generation is taking over!
In transferring content from WP, some compromises are inevitably required. For example, I have not found a way to include image titles in the way I would lke, yet. It is also not possible to add html coding unless I upgrade the subscription at a 50% premium; a not-so-subtle deception on the part of Squarespace. I will be cleaning up the formatting and image links going forward, starting with the most recent first. If you notice any problems, I would appreciate a heads up.
The new site opens with a portfolio of images I consider my best. Or they may simply mean something to me and I may change them from time to time. If you click on an image, it will open in a larger form if you’d like a better view. You can return to this page by clicking on my logo in the upper left of every page.
Blog pages can be accessed from the navigation bar at the top. New postings will be as before and will occur only two or three times a year; more often if the spirit moves me.
Under Projects there will be several collections in which I have included images that cover a certain subject, for example, Shadows. Up to 10 images will be included in each project, less if it is a work in progress. This section will probably be the most dynamic as my focus changes 😉
I have rewritten my About page extensively with new sections on artistic intent, biography, and technical trivia (the stuff I use to make photographs). I am considering a Technica (how-to) section that may address procedural element (e.g., My New Workflow), which is under construction.
The Contact or Subscribe takes you to a form by which to send me an email or, if you haven’t already, a request to subscribe to my email list. Contact info is also included on this page. I would love to hear from you and hope that you will share this site with your friends or on social media.
That’s it! Just four pages, easy to navigate and scroll, “four and a half” if you count the Projects. Thanks for stopping by. All the best to you.
